Pomeroy PF-4 #58

Just received the first oval hole mandolin from Don Paine, who has been building very nice mandolins in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It sounds like an F-4, and a very loud one. The simple appointments, no roseatte, clean binding, and excellent playability make this a beauty. It's got a nicely radiused fingerboard, Adirondack top, and Red Maple back and sides. I'd call it sweet sounding, but with nice volume, and some chop as well. $3250 with hardshell.
