Nugget A Deluxe #66
We've been anxiously awaiting this special A Model built in 1982. This mandolin had the top damaged and the instrument was sent by the owner to Mike who had a great Adirondack top standing by. Mike also added a new arched fingerboard and his own silver-plated brass, engraved tailpiece. It was then refinished with Nugget's new French polished oil varnish finish.
It's a real winner tone-wise as well. The sugar maple back is a good mate for the red spruce top, and the bell-tone is there in spades. Plenty of warmth and volume, and these instruments really grow as they get played. Here's a chance to get an old Nugget, but in mint condition. Check out the peghead by the way. $15,000 with original hardshell.
